This book is aimed at all postgraduates, researchers, lecturers, editors\' etc. who work in this area or who interact with molecular biologists. The first page of each chapter contains a table of contents which provides an \"at-a-glance\" a guide to the whole chapter. Each chapter includes an introduction that outlines the basic concepts in brief and offers clearer understanding of the subject matter. The book opens with a chapter on the organization of DNA in the eukaryotic genome, and continues with chapters on DNA replication (prokaryotic and eukaryotic), transcription, splicing mechanisms, RNA processing in eukaryotes, the regulation of gene expression (in prokaryotes and eukaryotes), and transposons and the mechanisms of transposition.
