Původní profese chirurga jej přivedla k zájmu u traumatologickou problematiku, která se stala pravidelným tematikou podzimních anesteziologických a intenzivistických setkání ve východočeské metropoli Pardubicích, kde strávil většinu svého profesního života. Head of Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care in Pardubice Regional Hospital was one of the key persons forming anaesthesiology as a new specialty. As a former surgeon he paid special attention to anaesthesia and intensive care in traumatology, which later became a main topic of regular biannual autumn conferences of anaesthesiologist and intensivist in East Bohemia metropolis Pardubice, where he spent most of his professional life. Authors summarize important biographical data and his contribution to community of anaesthesiologist and as a vice president of CSARIM.
