Cieľom práce bolo zhrnutie poznatkov o problematike tehotnosti v myomatóznej maternici. Autori poukázali na mechanizmus negatívneho vplyvu myamatózy maternice na fertilitu a uviedli súbor komplikácií, ktoré sa v tejto rizikovej skupine tehotných vyskytujú v priebehu tehotnosti, pôrodu a šestonedelia. Na základe týchto poznatkov autori navrhujú zásady starostlivosti o tehotné ženy s myomatózou maternice v predkoncepčnom, prenatálnom a peripartálnom období a v šestonedelí.

The aim of our article is to summarize the difficulties that can complicate the pregnancy in myomatous uterus. The authors showed the mechanism of negative influence of fibroids on fertility and presented complications related to this risk group that can be found during pregnancy, delivery and puerperium. On basis of these experience the authors suggest the rules of management of medical care of pregnant women with myomatous uterus during preconception, prenatal, peripartal and puerperium stage.
