The method of capillary isotachophoresis was employed to analyze a cardioplegic solution containing sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium ions and procainium chloride. The results of ITP measurements were compared with the results obtained by means of the standard pharmacopoeial methods and in the case of alkalis also with the results of AAS. Precision, correctness, linearity, robustness, and selectivity of the ITP were evaluated.
