Cílem tohoto článku je získat základní představu o moderním trendu v diagnostice plicního karcinomu. Věnuje se stručně jak celkovému pohledu na pacienta, tak i zobrazovacím metodám a verifikaci nalezených lézí. V oblasti zobrazovacích metod objasňuje koncept užití vyšetření trupu metodou pozitronové emisní tomografie kombinované s výpočetní tomografií (positron emission tomography / computed tomography, PET/CT) a vyšetření mozku metodou magnetické rezonance (magnetic resonance, MR). V morfologické verifikaci se věnuje jak klasickým metodám, tak i moderním navigačním bronchoskopickým systémům. Opomenuty nejsou ani patologické požadavky na adekvátní diagnostiku plicního karcinomu včetně molekulárních markerů.

The aim of this article is to get a basic idea of the modern trend in the diagnosis of lung cancer. The article deals briefly with the overall view of the patient, as well as imaging methods and verification of found lesions. In the field of imaging methods, this article clarifies the concept of using PET/CT (positron emission tomography / computed tomography) of the trunk and MR (magnetic resonance) of the brain. In morphological verification, the article deals with both classical methods and modern navigation bronchoscopic systems. Pathological requirements for adequate diagnosis of lung cancer, including molecular markers, are also included.
