Dekubity sú najobávanejšou komplikáciou v zdravotníctve. Incidencia a prevalencia preležanín je považovaná aj za mierku kvality ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti. Vzhľadom k tomu moderná terapia dekubitov je svojimi výsledkami obrovským prínosom nielen pre pacienta, ale aj pre ošetrujúci personál. V kontexte komplexného prístupu k liečbe dekubitov je dôležitá technika, metóda liečby dekubitu, mobilizácia, hydratácia, zabezpečenie adekvátnej výživy pacienta a význam má aj spolupráca sestier v rámci medziodborového tímu. Cieľom výskumu bolo zistiť využívanie moderných trendov liečby dekubitov. Oslovili sme sestry pracujúce na rôznych oddeleniach. Hlbšou analýzou sme zistili, že najčastejšou využívanou modernou metódou na pracoviskách sestier pri liečbe dekubitov je používanie hydrokoloidov a hydrogélov. Z hľadiska najlepších skúseností sestier s modernými metódami využívanými na pracoviskách sestry prezentovali najlepšiu skúsenosť s krytiami s obsahom striebra. Zaznamenali sme signifikatný vzťah medzi typom oddelenia, kde sestry pracujú a využívaním metód pri liečbe dekubitov. Taktiež pri analýze vzťahov medzi typom oddelenia a modernou metódou liečby dekubitov, s ktorou majú sestry najlepšie skúseností, existuje signifikatný vzťah. Sestra ako členka multidisciplinárneho tímu, ktorá má pri manažmente dekubitov dôležitú úlohu, by mala disponovať adekvátnymi informáciami o súčasných možnostiach v liečbe dekubitov, poznať možností ich využitia a vedieť správne manažovať pacienta s dekubitom v kontexte ošetrovateľských prístupov.

Pressure ulcers are the most feared complication in healthcare. The incidence and prevalence of bedsores is also considered a measure of the quality of nursing care. Due to this, the results of modern decubitus therapy are a huge benefit not only for the patient, but also for the nursing staff. In the context of a comprehensive approach to the treatment of pressure ulcers, the technique, method of treatment of pressure ulcers, mobilization, hydration, ensuring adequate nutrition of the patient is important, and the cooperation of nurses within the interdisciplinary team is also important. The aim of the research was to find out the use of modern trends in the treatment of pressure ulcers. We approached nurses working in different departments. Through a deeper analysis, we found that hydrocolloids and hydrogels are the most frequently used modern method in nurses' workplaces for the treatment of pressure ulcers. In terms of the best experience of nurses with modern methods used in workplaces, nurses presented the best experience with coverings containing silver. We noted a significant relationship between the type of department where the nurses work and the use of the method in the treatment of pressure ulcers. Also, when analyzing the relationship between the type of department and the modern method of treating pressure ulcers, with which nurses have the best experience, there is a significant relationship. A nurse as a member of a multidisciplinary team, who has an important role in the management of pressure ulcers, should therefore have adequate information about the current possibilities in the treatment of pressure ulcers, know the possibilities of their use and know how to properly manage a patient with pressure ulcers in the context of nursing approaches.
