Východiská: Jednou z najnáročnejších úloh pracovní- kov starajúcich sa o ľudí, ktorí nemôžu verbálne ko- munikovať, je pochopiť ich potreby, porozumieť im, poskytnúť im profesionálnu, no zároveň aj humánnu starostlivosť. Jednou z dostupných možností pri plnení tejto profesijnej úlohy je využitie ošetrovateľského konceptu bazálna stimulácia. Súbor a metódy: Prieskumnej štúdie sa zúčastnilo 354 sestier pracujúcich v zdravotníckych zariadeniach a zariadeniach sociálnej starostlivosti. Pre spracovanie vymedzených prieskumných cieľov bol použitý dotaz- ník vlastnej konštrukcie. Výsledky: Osobnú skúsenosť s využívaním konceptu bazálnej stimulácie v ošetrovateľskej praxi malo 76,8 % účastníkov prieskumu. Každodenné používa- nie prvkov konceptu bazálnej stimulácie sme zaregis- trovali u 41,8 % sestier pracujúcich v zdravotníckych zariadeniach a u 76,6 % sestier pracujúcich v zaria- deniach sociálnej starostlivosti. Vyšší podiel respon- dentov s absolvovaným kurzom bazálnej stimulácie sme zaznamenali v skupine sestier pracujúcich v zariadeniach sociálnej starostlivosti. Záver: Na základe výsledkov výskumu možno kon- štatovať nepatrné proporcionálne diskrepancie v poč- te sestier, ktoré absolvovali základný kurz bazálnej stimulácie a vo využívaní konceptu bazálnej stimulá- cie v zdravotníckych zariadeniach a zariadeniach so- ciálnych služieb, čo súvisí s pozitívnym postojom sestier k implementácií bazálnej stimulácie do ošet- rovateľskej starostlivosti vo vyššie uvedených zariade- niach.

Introduction: One of the most challenging tasks for staff caring for people who cannot communicate verbally is to understand their needs, understand them and provide them with professional as well as humane care. One of the available options in fulfil- ling this professional task is the use of the nursing concept of basal stimulation. File and methods: The research study was participa- ted in 354 nurses working in medical facilities and social care facilities. For processing a questionnaire was used for the defined research objectives on con- struction. Results: Personal experience with using the concept there was little basal stimulation in nursing practice 76.8% of survey participants. Everyday use we regis- tered the elements of the concept of basal stimula- tion in 41.8% of nurses working in healthcare facilities and 76.6% of nurses working in facilities social care. A higher proportion of respondents with a comple- ted course of basal stimulation we noted in a group of working nurses in social care facilities. Conclusion: Based on the research results, slight pro- portional discrepancies can be found in the number of nurses who completed the basic course of basal stimulation and in the use of the concept of basal stimulation in health care and social services, which is related to the positive attitude of nurses to the implementation of basal stimulation in nursing care in the above facilities.
