The aim of the series is to bring into perspective the available information on the occurrence and distribution of natural products, their structural diversity and biogenetic interrelationships, chemical syntheses as well as their possible role in nature, and their physiological activities.This volume presents an in-depth review of 22 subgroups of isoquinoline alkaloids all related by their common origin from the amino-acids phenylalanine and tyrosine.
