The aim of this paper is to discuss the issue of deterioration of the psychosocial health of individuals and the "health" of the society in relation to different cultural systems, to realistically expected and experienced quality of life, differently defined life goals and meaning of life. This paper concerns the issue of how psychosomatic disorders (health problems related to mental state) and the issue of holistic medicine and healing, as well as questions of satisfaction with their own lives and happiness of life issues in contemporary postmodern society preferring relativism, lethargic hedonism, individualism, the cult of the body and youth but also the rejection of moral values in the sense of "anything goes". The paper is interspersed with references to related empirical research the issue. In conclusion raises the question of whether and how it would be possible psychosocial health and thus improve the quality of life of individuals.
