Akútna pankreatitída je zápalové ochorenie pankreasu, ktoré má u 20 % pacientov ťažký priebeh. Mortalita ťažkej formy je daná hlavne mortalitou infekčných komplikácií. Najčastejšou indikáciou konvenčnej chirurgickej liečby je dôkaz infikovanej pankreatickej nekrózy. Napriek nesporným pokrokom v intenzívnej starostlivosti a chirurgickom ošetrení týchto pacientov ostáva mortalita tejto skupiny pacientov stále vysoká, okolo 30-50 %. V práci autori uvádzajú hlavné indikácie, zásady, načasovanie a techniky chirurgických intervencií pri akútnej pankreatitíde.

Acute pancreatitis is an inflammatory disease of the pancreas the course of which is in 20 % of patients severe. Mortality of the severe form results from mortality of infectious complications. The commonest indication for conventional surgery is confirmed infected pancreatic necrosis. Despite undisputable progress in intensive care and surgical care of patients, mortality of this group of patients is high – 30-50 %. The authors present the main indications, principles, timing and techniques of surgical interventions in acute pancreatitis.
