Autori v práci porovnávajú jednotlivé antenatálne skríningové testy používané na detekciu chromozómových abnormalít z hľadiska ich ceny, bezpečnosti a efektivity. Najefektívnejším testom je integrovaný test s inkorporovaním detekcie nosovej kosti, ktorý je zároveň najbezpečnejším pre pacientku a jej plod. Druhým najefektívnejším a najbezpečnejším testom je meranie nuchálnej translucencie. Tento test je pre podmienky slovenského zdravotníctva zároveň aj najlacnejší. Jeho širšie zavedenie do praxe naráža na zložitejší systém certifikácie a následnej kontroly kvality práce.

The authors compare single antenatal screening tests used for detection abnormalities from the view of their cost, safety and effectivity. The most effective test seems to be the integrated test with incorporation of nasal bone detection which is, at the same time, the savest test as for the patient so for the foetus. The second comes measuring of nuchal translucence. This test is for Slovak health care the cheapest. Its implementation to practice encounters with intricate system of certification and following control of work quality.
