Předkládaný článek se zabývá ochranou před domácím násilím v zákoně o Policii ČR a je doplněn o demonstrativní výčet nejfrekventova­nějších pochybení příslušníků Policie ČR při řešení případů v dané oblasti. V této souvislosti je charakterizován systém rezortního vzdělávání policistů. Provedená výzkumná sonda jednoznačně prokázala, že kvalitní vzdělávání policistů má přímou souvislost s úspěšným řešením případů v bezpečnostní praxi. Výzkumná sonda se opírá o názory 35 policistů výkonných útvarů ze 7 krajů ČR. Sonda potvrdila proklamované obavy policistů řešit případy domácího násilí. Respondenti se shodli, že policisté vyčlenění pro řešení případů domácího násilí mají vědomosti, dovednosti a postoje týkající se uvedené problematiky na úrovni, kterou vyžaduje řešení problémů domácího násilí. Jedinečnost výzkumného šetření tak spočívá především v navržení a realizaci řešení v oblasti rezortního vzdělávání Policie ČR, týkajícího se problematiky domácího násilí.

The following article deals with the protection against domestic violence, based on the Act of the Police of the Czech Republic and is supplemented by an extensive list of the most common misconducts of the Czech police personnel in dealing with cases in a given area. In this context, the system of departmental training sessions of the police officers is illustrated. The enquiries carried out by the research clearly demonstrated that the quality of the training sessions of the police officers has a direct link to the successful and safe solution of the cases. The research is based on the opinions of 35 police officers employed in the administrative departments in the 7 regions of the Czech Republic. The research survey confirmed the stated concerns of police officers to deal with cases of domestic violence. Respondents agreed that the police officers dispatched to deal with cases of domestic violence have the knowledge, skills and attitudes concerning the above mentioned problems, and have the skill level which the solution of domestic violence problems requires. The purpose of the research investigation, lies mainly in designing and implementing solutions in the areas of departmental education the Police of the Czech Republic, concerning the issue of domestic violence.
