Karcinom prostaty patří mezi nejčastější nádorová onemocnění u mužů a jeho incidence výrazně stoupá s věkem. V pokročilé fázi nemoc často postihuje skelet, typická jsou osteosklerotická ložiska. Principem cílených kostních léčiv je vysoká akumulace radiofarmaka v kostní lézi a jeho zvýšená aktivita. Pomocí těchto radioaktivních zářičů je možné zmenšit rozsah postižení a ovlivnit kvalitu života.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers among men and its incidence significantly increases with age. The skeleton is often affected by typical osteosclerotic deposits in the advanced phase of the disease. The principle of targeted bone drugs is high accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the bone lesion with increased activity. Using these bone‑targeting radiopharmaceuticals can reduce the extent of the disease and affect the quality of life.
