Potřeby rodiny kardiologicky nemocného dítěte

Potřeby rodičů pečujících o nemocné dítě jsou stejně důležité jako potřeby chronicky nemocného dítěte. Po diagnostice chronického onemocnění je nutná adaptace rodičů i dítěte na nově vzniklou situaci. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zhodnocení potřeb rodiny kardiologicky ne-mocného dítěte. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo celkem 107 rodičů dětí dispenzarizovaných v kar-diologické ambulanci. Metodou sběru dat byl dotazník Family Needs Assessment (Bailey et al., 2004). Z výsledků výzkumného šetření výplývá, že největší potřeby uváděli rodiče v oblasti podpory a informací. Celkové průměrné skóre dotazníku Family Needs Assessment (Bailey et al., 2004) činilo 50 ± 17,45 bodů z možného rozmezí 35-104 bodů. Statisticky významné rozdíly nebyly identifikovány v saturaci potřeb rodičů s ohledem na věk dítěte, dobu trvání kardiologického onemocnění dítěte, ani typ kardiologického onemocnění.

The needs of parents caring for an ill child are just as important as the needs of their chro-nically ill child. Once a chronic illness is diagnosed, the parents and the child must adapt to the new situation. The main objective of the paper was to assess the needs of the family of a paediatric cardiology patient. The research group consisted of 107 parents of children treated at the cardiology outpatient clinic. Data were collected using the Family Needs Assessment questionnaire (Bailey et al., 2004). The results of the research survey suggest that the parents mostly mentioned needs in the area of support and information. The total average score of the Family Needs Assessment questionnaire (Bailey et al., 2004) was 50 ± 17.45 points out of the possible score range of 35-104 points. No statistically significant differences were identified in the saturation of the parents' needs depending on the age of their child, duration or type of the child's cardiovascular disease.
