Kombinace nivolumabu a relatlimabu – nová možnost v léčbě maligního melanomu

Imunoterapie se stala nedílnou součástí léčby metastatického maligního melanomu. I přes úspěchy dosahované imunoterapií stále existuje skupina pacientů, u kterých není monoterapie anti-PD-1 účinná nebo není možné podat kombinaci anti-PD-1 s anti-CTLA-4. Z těchto důvodů je dobré, že se výzkum v této oblasti nezastavil a v současnosti je možné indikovat i léčbu kombinací anti-PD-1 (nivolumab) s anti-LAG-3 (relatlimab) v jedné intravenózní infuzi (přípravek Opdualag).
Immunotherapy has become an integral part of the treatment of metastatic melanoma. Despite the successes achieved by immunotherapy, there is a group of patients in whom anti-PD-1 monotherapy is not effective or it is not possible to administer a combination of anti-PD-1 with anti-CTLA-4. For these reasons, it is good that research in this area has not stopped. It is currently possible to indicate the treatment with a combination of anti-PD-1 (nivolumab) with anti-LAG-3 (relatlimab) in one intravenous infusion (Opdualag)
