Authors described two cases of atopic disease - pollinosis, who had hypersensitivity to tree and grass pollen and they had a subshock reaction after celery and nuts ingestion. The main role in pathogenesis of the reaction played the cross - reaction between pollen antigens and vegetable or truit antigenes. This was established by prick test. The authors call attention to the gravity of this cross - reaction which is of the type I according to Coombs and Gell. Profilin is a cross - reactive allergen in pollen and vegetable foods.
