Od září 1995 do ledna 1996 jsme provedli prospektivní srovnávací studii CT vyšetření 200 pacientů po perorálním podání buď standardní vodné jodové kontrastní látky (2% roztok Telebrixu 300), nebo speciální baryové kontrastní látky (Micropaque CT, Guerbet). Při v průměru srovnatelné ceně obou kontrastních látek jsme dosáhli při použití Micropaque CT zkrácení přípravy pacientů před vysetřením, větší homogenity a kvality náplně trávicí trubice a zaznamenali jsme menší počet artefaktů nez pri použití Telebrixu 300. Navíc Micropaque CT byl nemocnými zřetehiě lépe tolerován než 2% roztok Telebrixu 300. Po podání Micropaque CT jsme u pacientů zaznamenali subjektivní potíže prakticky v zanedbatelné míře.

The authors made between September 1995 and January 1996 prospective comparative studies of CT examinations of 200 patients after oral administration of a standard aqueous iodine contrast substance (2% solution of Telebrix 300) or a special barium contrast substance (Micropaque CT, Guerbet). Comparative evaluation of the cost of the two contrast substances revealed that when Micropaque CT was used the preparation time of patients before examination was reduced, there was a greater homogeneity and better quality of the filling of the digestive tract and the authors noted also a smaller number of artefacts than when Telebrix 300 was used. Moreover Micropaque CT was better tolerated by patients than a 2% Telebrix 300 solution. After Telebrix 300 administration the rate of subjective complaints among patients was practically negligible.
