Polyfenolické obsahové látky - triesloviny (taníny) a flavonoidy sú hlavné biologicky účinné sekundárne metabolity hamamelu virgínskeho. Cieľom práce bolo stanovenie ich obsahu v droge - listoch spolu s konármi z troch vegetačných období zberu za použitia spektrofotometrických metód. Z výsledkov stanovenia vyplynulo, že obsah trieslovín zo zberu v máji bol nižší, než zo zberu drogy v septembri, resp. októbri. Naopak obsah flavonoidov zo zberu v máji bol vyšší ako zo zberu v septembri, resp. v októbri v tom istom roku.

Polyphenolic constituents - tannins and flavonoids - are the principal biologically active secondary metabolites of Hamamelis virginiana L. The paper aims to determine their content in the drug - leaves and branches from three vegetation periods of collection with the use of spectrophotometric methods. The results of determination show that the content of tannins from the collection in May was lower than from the collection of the drug in September, or October. On the other hand, the content of flavonoids from the collection in May was higher than from the collection in September, or October, in the same year.
