Definition

A territory which encompasses eight European countries: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Slovenia and Switzerland. The height of the Alpine mountain ridges range up to Mont Blanc at 15,782 feet above sea level, and its altitude decreases from west to east.
