The aim of this project is to follow the serum levels of antibiotics - ceftazidime, vancomycine and one of the chinolon preparates during open heart surgery. The conventional cylinder - plate microbiological assay will be used for serum levels determination. Clearence and protein binding of antibiotics could be altered during CPB with the result of inadequate prophylaxis for infection. The study is carried out to rationalize the antibiotic prophylaxis in cardiac surgery with the economical benefit.

Cílem práce bude sledování sérových hladin antibiotik - ceftazidimu, vankomycinu,chinolonu během operace v mimotělním oběhu. Ke sledování bude použita mikrobiologická difuzní plotnová metoda. Ukazuje se totiž, že během mimotělního oběhu mohou být antibiotika vylučována rychleji, než za situace bez něj. Proto může být profylaxe infekce v kardiochirurgii neúčinná.
