V tomto príspevku sme sa zamerali na získanie prehľadu o tom, čo so sebou prináša vedenie odpájania od umelej ventilácie pľúc sestrou, ako to prispieva starostlivosti o pacienta, a aké odporúčania a protokoly sa v rámci procesu odpájania od ventilácie využívajú. Zároveň sme sa zaujímali o to, aké predpoklady sú nevyhnutné pre správny a úspešný priebeh samotného procesu odpájania a implementáciu takejto kompetencie medzi činnosti sestier. V texte možno ďalej nájsť odpovede na to, aké faktory ovplyvňujú vedenie odpájania pacienta od umelej ventilácie sestrou, či aké metódy a spôsoby môžeme využiť. Povolanie sestry sa neustále vyvíja, pribúdajú nové a nové kompetencie. Jednou z činností, ktoré by mohli v budúcnosti sestry prevziať, je napríklad odpájanie pacientov od umelej ventilácie pľúc. Takáto činnosť však vyžaduje prijatie odbornou verejnosťou, ako lekármi, tak aj sestrami samotnými, nielen zvládnutie teoreticky, ale aj v praxi. Okrem toho bude nevyhnutné kvalitné vzdelávanie v tejto oblasti, vytvorenie dôsledne vypracovaných protokolov pre odpájanie od ventilácie, čo musí zároveň priniesť aj adekvátne zvýšenie finančného ohodnotenia sestier. Predpokladom pre úspešné zavedenie tejto činnosti do bežnej praxe je zvýšená autonómia sestier a dobrá spolupráca medzi profesiami sestry a lekára.

In this paper, we focused on gaining an overview of what entails disconnection from the mechanical lung ventilation led by the nurse, how it contributes to patient care, and what recommendations and protocols are used in the weaning process. At the same time, we were interested in what preconditions are necessary for the correct and successful course of the disconnection process itself and the implementation of such competence among the activities of nurses. In the text, there is also possible to find answers to what factors affect the management of disconnection of the patient from mechanical ventilation by the nurse, or what methods and ways we can use. The profession of a nurse is constantly evolving, new and new competencies are added. One of the activities that nurses could take over in the future is, for example, to disconnect patients from mechanical lung ventilation. However, such activity requires acceptance by the professional public, both doctors and nurses themselves, not only mastering theoretically but also in practice. In addition, quality education in this area will be necessary, the creation of consistently developed protocols for disconnection from ventilation, which must also bring an adequate increase in the financial evaluation of nurses. The supposition for the successful introduction of this activity into common practice is increased autonomy of nurses and good cooperation between the professions of nurse and doctor.
