Prevalence obezity se v poslední době v mnoha zemích světa zvýšila. Studie „Zdraví dětí 2016“ v České republice ukázala, že po období celosvětového nárůstu obezity do roku 2011 nastalo období určité stabilizace, ve kterém nedocházelo k výrazným změnám hmotnosti. Pandemie covidu-19 bohužel tento trend změnila a aktuální data z roku 2021 ukazují na vážný nárůst dětské obezity v ČR. V článku budou zmíněny možnosti terapie dětí s obezitou, vč. farmakologické a bariatrické terapie.
The prevalence of obesity has recently accelerated in many countries of the world. The study “Children’s Health 2016” in the Czech Republic showed that after a period of global increase in obesity until 2011, there was a period of certain stabilization, in which there were no significant weight changes. Unfortunately, the covid-19 pandemic changed this trend, and current data from 2021 show a serious increase in child obesity in the Czech Republic. The article will mention the possibilities of therapy for children with obesity, including pharmacological and bariatric therapy.
