V dětské traumatológii má mezi implantáty nezastupitelnou pozici Kirschnerův drát. Zdokonalenou verzí tohoto implantátu je Orthoíix Fragment Fixation System (FFS), firmy Kendall, který spojuje výhody Kirschnerova drátu s kompresivní vlastností šroubu. Za období posledních 2 let byl na Klinice dětské chirurgie a traumatológie V Brně ošetřen osteosyntézou pomoci FFS - implantátů celkem 21 pacient, z toho bylo 19 pacientů mladších 15 let. Pro poraněni v oblasti loketního kloubu bylo léčeno 15 děti (radiální fýza humeru - 9x, ulnámi epikondyl 4x, zlomenina olecranu ulny - 2x). Autori referuji o dosavadních dobrých zkušenostech a výsledcích s touto metodou pri léčbě poraněni v oblasti lokte u dětí.

In child traumatology among implants an irreplaceable place is held by Kirschner wires. An improved version of this implant is the Orthofix Fragment Fixation System (FFS) of Kendall Co. which comb of this implant is the Orthofix Fragment Fixation System (FFS) of Kendall Co. which combines the advantages of Kirschner wires with the compressive properties of a screw. During the past two years at the Clinic of Child Surgery and Traumatology in Brno by osteosynthesis, using FFS implants, a total of 21 patients were treated incl. 19 under the age of 15 years. On account of injuries of the elbow 15 children were treated (radial physis of the humerus - 9x, ulnar epicondyle - 4x, fracture of the ulnžir olecranon - 2x). The authors present an account of the hitherto assembled favourable experience and results of this method in the treatment of injuries of the elbow in children.
