Na příkladu typického obrazu Mirizziho syndromu demonstrují autoři klinickou a hlavně radiologickou diagnostiku této méně obvyklé příčiny obstrukčního ikteru. Současně probírají druhy operační léčby tohoto syndromu, sloužící k odstranění komprimujícího žlučníkového kamene a k rekonstrukci žlučovodů v hilu jater.
On the example of a typical case of Mirizzi's syndrome the authors demonstrate the clinical and in particular radiological diagnosis of this rather uncommon cause of obstructive jaundice. At the same time they discuss methods of surgical treatment of this syndrome used to remove the compressing bile stone and to reconstruct the bile ducts in the hilus of the liver.
