Cíl práce: Posouzení účinnosti a tolerance přípravku Helicid, omeprazol firmy Léčiva, a.s., v indikaci gastropatie z nesteroidních antirevmatik. Nemocní a metody: U souboru 113 nemocných s endoskopicky verifikovanou gastropatií z nesteroidních antirevmatik byl podáván omeprazol v dávce 20 mg denně po dobu 4 týdnů při současném vysazení antirevmatik. Klinické zkoušení proběhlo multicentricky, otevřeným způsobem, s respektováním všech etických hledisek. Zkoušení bylo nezávisle monitorováno. Výsledky: Ze souboru 113 nemocných bylo možno hodnotit 107 nemocných. Léčba byla úspěšná u 101 nemocných (94,3 %). Ke kompletnímu zhojení lézí došlo u 91 nemocných (85 %), v 10 případech (9,3 %) bylo zhojení neúplné. U 6 nemocných (5,6 %) byla léčba hodnocena jako neúspěšná. Nežádoucí účinky, v naprosté většině nezávažné, se vyskytly u 17 nemocných, tj. u 15,3 % souboru. U většiny nemocných (>80 %) byl vztah nežádoucích účinků k léčbě sporný. Závěr: Helicid se v indikaci gastropatie z nesteroidních antirevmatik ukázal jako lék účinný a velmi dobře tolerovaný s nevelkým počtem nezávažných nežádoucích účinků.

Objective: Evaluation of the effectiveness and tolerance of the preparation Helicid (Omeprazol Léèiva Co.) in indications of gastropathies caused by non-steroid antirheumatic drugs. Patients and methods: In a group of 113 patients with endoscopically verified gastropathy caused by non-steroid antirheumatics omeprazol was administered - 20 mg/day - for a period of four weeks while antirheumatics were discontinued. The clinical tests were made on a multicentre basis as an open trial respecting all ethical aspects. The tests were monitored independently. Results: From the group of 113 patients 107 could be evaluated. Treatment was successful in 101 patients (94.3%). Complete healing of lesions was recorded in 91 patients (85%), in 10 patients healing was incomplete (9.3%). In 6 patients (5.6%) treatment failed. Undesirable side-effects, in the great majority not serious, were recorded in 17 patients, i.e. 15.3% of the group. In the majority of patients (>80%) the relationship of undesirable effects and treatment was controversial. Conclusion: Helicid proved in gastropathies caused by non-steroid antirheumatics an effective and well tolerated drug with few minor undesirable side-effects.
