Klermanova interpersonální psychoterapie, kterou autor stručně popisuje, je časově omezená, na pacientovu současnou interpersonální problémovou oblast zaměřená léčba, vyvinutá pro velkou depresi a následně i jiné poruchy nálady a další poruchy. Autor pracuje v psychoterapeutické komunitě pro léčení neuróz. Ve druhé části porovnává své vlastní zkušenosti s Klermanovou IPT. Interpersonálně orientovaný psychoterapeut může dobrou znalost manuálu efektivně využít i při skupinové psychoterapii.
Klerman´s Interpersonal Psychotherapy, which author briefly describes, is a time-limited, on the patient's current interpersonal problem area focused treatment, developed for major depression and subsequently for different types of mood and nonmood disorders. Author works in community for psychotherapy of neuroses. In the second part he compares his own experiences with Klerman´s IPT. Interpersonally oriented psychoterapeutist can effectively applicate good knowledge of this manual in group psychotherapy, too.
