Autoři ve své práci srovnávali terapeutický efekt subgingivální kyretáže a metody Vector pomocí indexů PBI (Mühlemann),Pl I (Silness a Löe)a měřením hloubky chobotů v milimet- rech.Sestavili soubor 10 pacientů,celkově zdravých,průměrného věku 43,2 roku a ošetřili 20 čelistí s pokročilou parodontitidou.Podle jejich dosavadních výsledků je účinnost metody Vector srovnatelná s metodou subgingivální kyretáže.Jako pozitivní se jeví i příjemné pocity udávané pacienty během ošetření metodou Vector,které nevyžaduje lokální anestezii.

The authors compare the therapeutic effect of the subgingival curettage method by means of indexes PBI (Mühlemann),Pl I (Silness and Löe)and assessment of the depth of pockets in mm.They had a group of 10 patients in good general health,mean age 43.2 years and treated 20 jaws with advanced periodontitis.According to their results assembled so far the effectiveness of the Vector method is comparable with the method of subgingival curettage. Positive is also the experience reported by patients during treatment with the Vector method which does not require local anaesthesia.
