Autoři v této práci uvádějí současné postupy léčby ATB na chirurgické JIP. Při profylaktickém podání popisují jeho indikace, volbu ATB a dobu podávání. Diskutují nutnost zahájení léčby ATB, které je zprvu empirické a po zjištění výsledků kultivačních vyšetření cílené.
The authors describe contemporary therapeutic procedures of ATB treatment at surgical ICUs. In conjunction with prophylactic administration they describe its indications, ns, selection of ATB and period of administration. They discuss the necessity to start antibiotic treatment which is at first empirical and aimed after the results of cultivation examinations are available.
