Astma patří k psychosomatickým onemocněním. Příznaky astmatu mohou být vyvolány řadou psychogenních vlivů. Astmatické dušnosti jsou příčinou změn v psychice pacienta i jeho rodiny (úzkostlivost, nadměrná péče, fixace). Psychoterapie s účinnou farmakoterapií umožní úpravu a návrat k vyrovnanému stavu.

Bronchial asthma belongs to the psychosomatic diseases. The psychological factors and severe asthma symptoms are likely to be closely interrelated. The feeling of breathlessness provokes marked anxiety or overprotection and the fixation of the child to mother. Psychotherapy and optim pharmacotherapy is the way to the normalum.
