Pokud má dokumentace sehrát účinnou a účelnou roli v řízení organizace, musí plně vyhovovat požadavkům řízení zahrnutým do širšího vnějšího prostředí a respektovat požadavky norem. Ve většině případů není nikde určena míra podrobnosti dokumentace, ta záleží na charakteru činnosti a disciplinovanosti pracovníků, kterým je určena. Důležité je brát administrativu v systémech kvality jako příležitost ke zlepšování, neboť charakterizuje vyspělost celé organizace, a zejména úroveň skutečného pořádku.

If document has to play effective role in the organizational management it should fulfill the requirements related to wider environment and respect the norms. In most cases there are no rules on how detailed should the documentation be, this depends on the character of provided care and the work moral of the healthcare workers. The administrative systems are associated with the quality and the standard processes within the whole organization therefore there should be an ongoing effort to improve the process of documentation.
