Uvádíme příklad operace současné stenózy a kinking syndromu arteria carotis interna (ACI), při níž dochází k iatrogennímu poranění karotidy. Tato urgentní situace je řešena pomocí interpozitu polytetrafl uorethylenové (PTFE) protézy. Toto řešení je zvoleno jako metoda první volby pro časovou tíseň, kdy odběr autologního materiálu by neúměrně prodloužil čas reparace lacerace ACI.

We present a case report concerning an operation for simultaneous stenosis and kinking syndrome of the internal carotid artery (ICA) where iatrogenic injury to the internal carotid artery took place. The resulting urgent situation was solved with PTFE prosthesis interposition. This solution was chosen as a method of fi rst choice because of the time pressure where autologous material harvesting would inappropriately prolong the time of the ICA laceration repair.
