[Women´s views and attitudes to smoking in pregnancy]

We studied the degree of knowledge about the negative effects of maternal smoking and passive smoking and attitudes to smoking mothers during pregnancy and beyond. The research sample consisted of 240 respondents randomly selected. We used the questionnaire method. The results were processed statistically. We found that the level of knowledge among women about the negative effects is good. In some areas we have identified certain weaknesses. Based on our results, we recommend that action to strengthen educational midwives in primary prevention, and stress the importance of legislative support educational activities of midwives.
