Autori referujú o diferenciálno-diagnostickom postupe u 51-ročného, doteraz zdravého muža, ktorý bol prijatý do nemocnice pre týždeň trvajúce teploty do 39°C a bolesti v drieku. Okrem štandardných biochemických, hematologických, mikrobiologických a sérologických vyšetrení boli realizované aj príslušné zobrazovacie vyšetrenia, ako ultrasonografia brucha a CT. Autori sa detailnejšie venujú najma opisu kontrastného sonografického vyšetrenia s využitím preparátu SonoVue, jeho princípom a výhodám. Na základe diagnostických postupov bol pacient operovaný s nálezom retroperitoneálne uloženého opuzdreného ložiska, ktoré bolo extirpované s histologickým záverom stredne diferencovaného leiomyosarkómu. Pacient je v súčasnosti bez ťažkostí a komplikácií dispenzarizovaný v príslušných odborných ambulanciách.

Authors present differential diagnostics of a 51-year-old till this time healthy male who was admitted to the hospital because of one week persisting temperature up to 39o Celsius and pain in his waist. Despite standardized biochemical, hematological, microbiological and serological investigations also particular imaging examination was used. e.g. ultrasound of the abdomen and CT. The authors focus on reading contrast ultrasound examination using SonoVue preparation, its principles and advantages. Based on diagnostic procedures the patient was operated on and encapsulated focus retroperitoneally located was found that was extirpated. Histological investigation revealed moderate differentiated leiomyosarcoma. The patient is without pathological findings at present and followed-up in particular specialized out-patient departments.
