Autori sa v príspevku venujú možnosti intratekálnej liečbe baklofenom. Predovšetkým indikačným kritériám pre implantáciu programovateľnej infúznej pumpy. Hodnotia možnosti a efektívnosť liečby aj na základe vlastných klinických skúseností u pacientov s ťažkou formou spasticity po poranení miechy alebo pri degeneratívnom ochorení CNS (napr. SM). Intratekálna aplikácia baklofenu je vhodná predovšetkým u pacientov s ťažkou spasticitou, refraktérnej na klasickú perorálnu liečbu.

The authors present possibilities of intrathecal therapy with baclofene, most of all indication criteria for implantation of programmable infusion pump. They evaluate possibilities and effectiveness of the therapy on the basis of their own clinical experience with patients with severe form of spasticity after spinal injury or in degenerative disease of the CNS. Intrathecal application of baclofene is suitable in patients with severe spasticity refractery to conventional oral therapy.
