Od zavedenia celoplošného skríningu kongenitálnej hypotyreózy na našom území pred viac ako 20. rokmi, ustúpila hypofunkcia štítnej žľazy do značnej miery z centra pozornosti pediatrov. V poslednom desaťročí však významne stúpa výskyt získaných foriem hypofunkcie, charakterizovaných pomerne rýchlym priebehom. Autor analyzuje prípady 34 detí, vyšetrených a sledovaných na jeho pracovisku v rokoch 1997 - 2007. Po rozdelení do troch vekových skupín (3 - 5, 5 - 11, 11 - 15 rokov) sa zistil v nižšej a strednej vekovej skupine významný podiel familiárneho výskytu DLT, čo umožňuje aj zavedenie niektorých preventívne skríningových vyšetrení.

Introducing of full-area screening of congenital hypothyreosis before more than 20 years hypofunction of thyroid gland was withdrawn from the sphere of interest of pediatricians. However, in the last decade the incidence of acquired forms of hypofunction has significantly increased and is characterized by rapid course. The author analyses cases of 34 children examined and followed up during the period of 1997 - 2007. Patients were divided into three groups (3 - 5, 5 - 11, 11 - 15 years). In the lower and middle age group a significant proportion of familial occurrence of DLT was found which can help to apply some preventive screening examinations.
