Cílem článku je přiblížit problematiku asertivity nejen posudkovému lékaři, ale i široké veřejnosti. Jedním ze základních principů dobře zvládnuté komunikace je pochopení podstaty asertivity a její využívání nejen v práci, ale i v každodenním životě. Asertivní člověk je hůře manipulovatelný. Dokáže projevit své pocity a přání, dokáže se vcítit do pocitů druhých. Asertivita upozorňuje člověka na to, že má svá práva, je zodpovědný sám za sebe, že jeho úkolem je chránit své hranice a současně respektovat hranice druhých, a je pouze na něm, zda se rozhodne být asertivní, a co je pro to ochoten udělat.

The article outlined the problem of assertiveness for evaluation physicians as well as for the public. One of the basic principles of well-established communication is understanding of the nature of aggressiveness and its use not only at work but also in everyday life. The assertive person is more difficult for manipulation. Such person can manifest the own feelings and wishes and is capable of empathy of other people feelings. Assertiveness draws the person attention to his or her own rights and responsibility and the tasks to guard own borders and, as the same time, to respect the other people margins. The person should decide whether to become assertive and willing to exert corresponding efforts.
