Pacienti s psoriázou, a to především s variantou choroby postihující viditelné partie těla, jako je tomu u psoriázy kštice a obličeje, trpívají často komplexy méněcennosti, depresemi a pocity vyčlenění. Díky velkému množství moderních léčiv jsme schopni průběh onemocnění u naprosté většiny nemocných dostat pod kontrolu. Jednou z těchto nových možností léčby je i sekukinumab. Jedná se o plně humánní protilátku proti interleukinu 17A. Přípravek je indikovaný pro léčbu středně těžkých a těžkých forem chronické ložiskové psoriázy. Sekukinumab vykazuje výborné terapeutické výsledky i v terapii obtížně léčitelných subtypů psoriázy. Předkládáme kazuistiku pacienta s torpidní ložiskovou psoriázou s dominujícím postižením kštice a obličeje, u něhož se podařilo navodit dlouhodobou remisi právě sekukinumabem.

Patients with psoriasis often suffer from inferiority complex and depression. These feelings are more common in patients with psoriasis of the visible parts of the body, as it is seen in scalp and face psoriasis. Thanks to the broad range of modern drugs, we are able to control the disease course in the majority of patients. Secukinumab is one of the newest drugs for moderate to severe forms of chronic psoriasis. It is a fully humanized antibody against interleukin 17A. Secukinumab achieves excellent efficacy also in the therapy of hard‑to‑treat forms of psoriasis, as it is in the case of scalp and face psoriasis. The case report describes our experience with secukinumab in the treatment of scalp and face psoriasis in a young man, with the induction of long‑term remission.
