Úvodní údery v rozehře každého hráče nabízejí různé taktické možnosti v badmintonu. Cílem je porovnat v utkání mužů a žen četnost a účinnost podání, příjmu podání a kombinace prvních tří úderů rozehry. Sledovali jsme 15 utkání mužů a 15 utkání žen na české nejvyšší úrovni. Zaznamenávali jsme typ a směr prvních tří úderů rozehry. Muži používali z 88 % k zahájení rozehry krátké bekhendové podání, zatímco ženy používaly více variant podání s převahou vysokého forhendového podání (80 %). Od použitého typu podání se odvíjí i typ příjmu podání a následné úderové kombinace. Jejich četnost a účinnost jsou detailněji ukázány níže v tomto článku. Herní pojetí mužů a žen je odlišné a odvíjí se již od způsobu zahájení rozehry. Tato specifika by měla být uvážena při tréninku i rozvoji hráčů a hráček.

The first shots of a rally provide various tactical options in badminton. The aim is to compare the frequency and efficiency of the serve, return shot and the combination of the first three shots in male and female matches. We observed 15 male and 15 female matches from the top level players in the Czech Republic. We observed the type and direction of the first three shots of the rally. Male players used the backhand short serve in 88 % of cases, while female players used the forehand high serve in 80 %. Based on the serve type, different returns shot and shot combinations were available. The frequency and efficiency of specific shots and shot combinations are shown in the results below. The game conception differs between the genders and the difference starts with the first shot of the rally. It is important to consider these gender game specifics in the practice sessions and players development.
