Sluchové postižení je jedním z nejrozšířenějších somaticko-funkčních postižení (Horáková, 2012). Protože je sluchové vnímání klíčové pro rozvoj mluvené řeči, jsou děti se sluchovým postižením od raného věku v péči klinických logopedů a speciálních pedagogů - logopedů, surdopedů. Cílem tohoto článku je nabídnou vhled do specifik práce logopeda, surdopeda - speciálního pedagoga s dětmi s těžkým sluchovým postižením. Z této skupiny pak vyčleníme tu část dětí, která byla zoperována kochleárním implantátem, a budeme se jí věnovat ve speciální kapitole.

This article aims to offer insight into the specifics of the job of a Speech Therapist/Deaf Educator with children with severe hearing impairments. From this group, we then separate the category of children operated on with cochlear implants. This is dealt with in a specific chapter.
