Imunoterapie změnila standardy léčby celé řady malignit. V současné době jsou nejvíce využívány takzvané checkpoint inhibitory (inhibitory kontrolních bodů imunitních reakcí). Mezi checkpoint inhibitory se řadí i durvalumab. Jde o plně humanizovanou IgG1κ monoklonální protilátku, která selektivně blokuje ligand receptoru programované buněčné smrti (PD-L1). Durvalumab má několik indikací – uplatňuje se v léčbě bronchogenního karcinomu, karcinomu žlučových cest a hepatocelulárního karcinomu. Tento článek je věnován indikacím durvalumabu v léčbě bronchogenního karcinomu.

Immunotherapy has changed the standard of care in cancer treatment. Currently, the most frequently used type of immunotherapy is checkpoint inhibitors. One of checkpoint inhibitors is durvalumab. Durvalumab is a fully humanized IgG1κ monoclonal antibody that selectively blocks programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1). There are several indications for durvalumab. Durvalumab is used for treatment of malignancies including lung cancer, biliary tract cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma. This article is dedicated to indications of durvalumab in the treatment of lung cancer.
