Článek je zaměřen na problematiku následné poporodní péče. Vychází z kombinace přehledové studie, výzkumného sdělení a zkušeností z praxe. Zabývá se historickým vývojem v péči o ženu a dítě, vztahy mezi porodními asistentkami a gynekology a překážkami v poskytování následné poporodní péče.
The article is aimed at the issue of postpartum follow-up care. It is a combination of a review study, a research note and experience from the practice. It deals with these main areas: historical developments in the care of the woman and the child; relationships between midwives and gynecologists; the barriers to the delivery of follow-up postnatal care.
