Klinická studie zahrnovala 82 dětských a 243 dospělých ambulantních pacientů s následujícími diagnózami: Otitis media acuta, sinusitis acuta, pharyngitis acuta, tonsilitis acuta, pneumonic, brochitis acuta a akútni exacerbace chronické bronchitídy. Pacienti byli léčeni přípravkem klaritromycin ve formě suspenze a tablet, průměrná doba léčby byla 7,36 dne u dětí a 7,2 dne u dospělých. Sledovali jsme úspěšnost léčby a toleranci léku. Celková úspěšnost léčby byla u dětí 97,5%, u dospělých 98,7%. tolerance velmi dobrá a dobrá byla u dětí v 97,5 % u dospělých v 96,5 %. Nežádoucí vedlejší účinky se vyskytly u 1,2 % dětských pacientů a 0,82 % dospělých. Klaritromycin se osvědčil v ambulantní léčbě akutních respiračních infekcí u dětí i u dospělých.

The clinical study comprised 82 children and 243 adult patients with the following diagnoses: otitis media acuta, sinusitis acuta, pharyngitis acuta tonsillitis acuta, pneumonia, bronchitis acuta and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. The patients were treated with clarithromycin in suspension or tablets, the mean period of treatmennt being 7.36 days in children and 7.2 days in adults. The tolerance and results of treatment were followed up. Treatment was successful in 97.5% children and 98.7 adults. The tolerance was very good and good in children in 97.5% Undesirable side-effects were recorded in 1.2% child patients and 0.82 adult patients. Clarithronycin proved useful in ambulatory treatment of acute respiratoryinfections of children and adults.
