The authors describe the case of a 75-year-oId female patient with the diagnosis of the light-cell variant of Bowen's disease with vacuolization of keratinocytes of unusual extent. In the diagnosis Ofthe disease they used also some immunohistochemical methods with monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. In combination with them electronoptic transmission examination proved very useful and revealed intracytoplasmic inclusions in keratinocytes which are part of desmosomes, which supports the diagnosis of Bowen's disease.
