V práci je popsán případ 45letého muže se zdvojeným, slepě končícím močovodem. Diagnóza byla stanovena nejprve podle ultrasonografického, později výpočetně tomografického vyšetrem. Uziti výpočetní tomografie je v této indikaci ojedinělé. Je diskutován vznik tohoto případu zdvojeného, slepě končícího megaureteru. Jde bud o velmi vzácnou kongenitální anomálii, nebo o vznik na podkladě ligatury raménka nepoznaného ureter duplex s jednou z pánviček, hydronefroticky rozšířenou, která byla mylně interpretována jako objemná cysta. V diskusi je rozebrán embryonální vývoj ledvin a vývodných močových cest a vysvětlen možný vznik různých variant zdvojeného močovodu.

The authors describe the case of a 45-year-old man with a dupUcate blind ureter. The diagnosis was based first on ultrasonography, later on computed tomography. The use of computed tomography in this indication is rare. The authors discusse the genesis of this case of duplicate blind megaureter. It is either a very rare congenital anomaly or the development is caused by ligature of a branch of an unrecognised ureter duplex with a hydronephrotically enlarged pelvis which was by mistake interpreted as a large cyst. In the discussion the embryonic development of the kidneys and urinary pathways is discussed and the authors explain the possible development of different variants of a duplicate ureter.
