Na přítomnost protilátek proti viru klíšťové encefalitidy a hantavirům bylo vyšetřeno 383 sér obyvatel okresu Plzeň-jih. Protilátky proti viru klíšťové encefalitidy byly zjištěny ve 4 vzorcích (1 %), nikdo z vyšetřených neměl v anamnéze onemocnění klíšťovou encefalitidou, ani očkování proti této nákaze. Séropozitivita byla potvrzena pouze u osob starších než 30 let. Protilátky proti hantavirům mělo 5 vyšetřených, tj. 1,3 %. S výjimkou 21 leté ženy, která je dispenzarizována v nefrologické poradně, nikdo z nich neměl v anamnéze onemocnění vylučovacího systému. Séropozitivní osoby neudávaly častější kontakt s hlodavci ani cestování do rizikových oblastí.

The authors examined for the presence of antibodies against the virus of tick-borne encephalitis and hantaviruses 383 sera of the population from the district Plzeň South. Antibodies against the virus of tick-borne encephalitis were found in four samples (1 %); none of the examined subjects had tick-bome encephalitis nor immunization against it in their case-history. Seropositivity was confirmed only in subjects above 30 years of age. Antibodies against hantaviruses were detected in 5 of the examined subjects, i.e. in 1.3 %. With the exception of a 21-year-old woman, dispensarized in a nephrological cliiúc, none of the patients had a history of disease of the excretory system. Seropositive subjects did not report more frequent contact with rodents nor trips to risk areas.
