V práci autori porovnávajú výsledky replantácií Ortopedicko-traumatologickej kliniky LF UPJŠ Košice, Replantacnych centier (RC) v Rakúsku (ktoré sú súčasťou úrazových nemocníc) a výsledky replantácií na Klinike plastickej a estetickej chirurgie v Brne. Hodnotia ich z hľadiska počtu úspešnosti prežitia replantátov, doby liečenia a práceneschopnosti. Za 7 rokov (1991-1997) bolo na Ortopedicko-traumatologickej klinike LF UPJŠ Košice replantovaných, alebo revaskularizovaných 157 pacientov. Úspešnosf replantácií sa za posledné roky zvýšila zo 72 % na 95%. Šesť RC v Rakúsku uvádza za 10 rokov (1977-1987) 286 výkonov. Klinika plastickej a estetickej chirurgie v Brne za 10 rokov (1982-1992) 649 výkonov, pri 81% úspešnosti. Priemerná doba hospitalizácie u replantovaných pacientov, vrátame rehabilitácie, je na pracoviskách v Rakúsku a na Ortopedicko-traumatologickej klinike LF UPJŠ KoSice približne rovnaká. Tak isto aj doba práceneschopnosti je približne rovnaká a predstavuje 4-5 mesiacov práceneschopnosti.

The authors compare results of replantations performed at the Orthopaedic Clinic of the Medical Faculty, Šafárik University in Košice Replantation Centres in Austria (which are part of traumatological hospitals) and results of replantations at the Clinic Of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery in Brno.
