Test stimulace bazofilních leukocytů je relativně novou laboratorní metodou umožňující diagnostiku reakce I. typu a monitorování reaktivity pacienta během specifické imunoterapie. Principem této metody je určení procenta aktivovaných bazofilů v periferní krvi pomocí průtokové cytometrie. Srovnávali jsme výsledky tohoto testu s výsledkem kožních testů, s hodnotou specifického IgE a s hodnotou uvolněných sulfidoleukotrienů. Dále jsme porovnávali četnost exprese aktivačního znaku CD 63 při použití alergenů různých výrobců, sledovali jsme četnost exprese v závislosti na použité koncentraci alergenu. Podle našich prvních zkušeností výsledky tohoto relativně rychle a snadno proveditelného testu korelují s ostatními parametry onemocnění.

The test of the quantitative determination of basophil degranulation (CD 63 expression) is novel in vitro technique allowing the diagnosis of type I immunopatologic reaction and monitoring patients reactivity during specific immunotherapy. This test is based on the determination of the percentage of activated peripheral blood basophils by flow cytometry. We compared the results of basophil stimulation test with the patient´s history, skin test, level of specific IgE and with results of sulfidoleucotriene - release test. We observed high results variability between allergens of different producers and the basophil activation dose - dependent manner. According to our first experience, basophil stimulation test seems to be a specific and sensitive diagnostic tool. The advantage is procedural simplicity being finished in few hours.
