Fytopreparáty jsou rozsáhlou skupinou medikamentů, užívanou dlouhodobě k léčbě benigní hyperplazie prostaty. Obsahují celou řadu léčivých látek s dosud ne zcela přesně známým a definovaným účinkem. Mezi jejich jednoznačné výhody patří především minimum vedlejších účinků. Autoři zde podávají souhrnný přehled současné fytoterapie, včetně základních informací o hlavních rostlinách užívaných k výrobě těchto léčiv.
Phytotherapeutic agents present a large group of drugs that have been used for many years in a treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. These agents are composed of various healing components that have not very well known and still quite unclear mechanism of action. Among the main advantages of plant extracts belong the lack of side effects. The authors of this article present short overview on actual phytotherapy, including basic information about plants that are mainly used for extraction of these drugs.
