Nurse educators' competence requirements are constantly evolving. Continuous professional development opportunities vary and there are very few programmes that utilize international collaboration. An Erasmus+ funded New Nurse Educator project developed and implemented a 30 ECTS study programme for nurse educator education and continuous professional development. The aim of the current study is to report the evaluation of the utility of the Empowering Nurse Educators in the Changing World (ENEC) study programme. International descriptive multi method study with a pre-test post-test design was conducted. Evaluation of the impact of the programme on the participants utilized five different instruments and participants' learning diaries. Programme participants were nurse educators and nurse educator candidates from six European countries (n = 42). Analyses indicate that the participants' competence increased in all areas measured after the programme, and that their competence is good. Participants highly valued the international collaboration and exchange of experiences and expertise. The evaluation indicates that international nurse educator education programmes are beneficial for both seasoned and aspiring nurse educators. This study provides novel information on the development and enhancement of nurse educator competence. For further development of continuing professional development, it is crucial to support the development of nurse educator education study programmes in Europe.

In the Czech Republic, nurses have limited access to post-qualification training in urology compared to some foreign countries. These countries allow nurses to provide extensive care, including prescribing medications, which is not common in the Czech Republic. Studies highlight that expanding nurses' competencies in urology results in improved clinical outcomes and more efficient service delivery. However, barriers include inconsistency in the nurse role designation and the absence of a regulatory body in the Czech Republic. Support from the health care team and professional organizations is critical to the success of the development of this field.
OBJECTIVE: Children with ADHD often tend to underperform in school. This partial study aimed to find out if the school experience of adults with higher ADHD symptomatology differs from those with lower and no ADHD symptomatology. METHOD: Based on the results of ASRS questionnaires, the respondents were divided into three groups (low, medium, and high) according to the manifested ADHD symptomatology. We explored their school experiences by looking at their grades for behavior at school, notes regarding their attendance, school expulsion, and other school experiences. RESULTS: Children with higher ADHD symptomatology were significantly more likely to be expelled, receive notes for bad behavior, disturbing or forgetting as well as receive reprimands from teachers. CONCLUSION: Our results show that children with increased ADHD symptomatology experience more difficulties with school behavior, they are frequently reprimanded, and they do receive more negative feedback regarding their attendance and tardiness from teachers.

Aim: The study examines the impact of the acmeological approach to postgraduate education on developing the personal component of nursesʼ professional skills. Design: An experimental study. Methods: The study involved 72 nurses in postgraduate training (average age 36.3 years old) specializing in family nursing and nurse anesthetists in anesthesiology and intensive care units, with an average working experience of 14.3 years. The following methods were used: the morphological test of life values, the "Need for achievements" inventory, and the "Motivation of professional activity" test. A Studentʼs t-test was used to compare the indicators and assess the validity of the results. The data obtained from the written survey were calculated and entered into Excel spreadsheets for further processing. Results: The use of the acmeological approach in nursesʼ professional training in advanced training courses statistically significantly (p < 0.05) contributed to an increase in the importance of spiritual and moral values. The research results revealed the increasing importance of internal motives to nursesʼ professional activity and the positive dynamics of nurses' desire to perform Conclusion: The acmeological approach to developing professional skills in continuing education contributed to the reinforcement of important personal qualities in nurses.
OBJECTIVES: This project aimed to improve compliance with evidence-based practice in pain assessment and management in a gynecology ward. INTRODUCTION: Effective pain control is important to prevent the negative consequences of pain that is poorly managed. However, it remains undervalued and inadequately treated. Applying evidence-based practices to correctly evaluate and manage pain is essential to improve pain relief. METHODS: This project followed the JBI Evidence Implementation Framework. A baseline audit of 41 women admitted to the gynecology ward was conducted and measured against 5 best practice criteria, along with a patient satisfaction questionnaire. Targeted strategies were then implemented and a follow-up audit was conducted using the same criteria, methods, and sample size as the baseline audit. RESULTS: The baseline audit revealed gaps between current and best practice. Barriers to implementation were identified and strategies to resolve the barriers were designed and implemented (nurse education, informative materials, electronic patient records system improvements). Comprehensive pain assessment, including dynamic and static pain assessment, use of a validated tool, and education provided to patients and carers, improved in the follow-up audit. There was no change in patient satisfaction levels; however, the discrepancy between pain measured by nurses and pain measured by patients was reduced. CONCLUSIONS: The JBI methodology was useful in improving compliance with evidence-based practice criteria. It also facilitated adaptation to new barriers, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Improving nurses' knowledge of pain assessment can lead to more accurate assessment. Inadequate records systems also made it difficult to record the care that was provided. Subsequent audits will assess sustainability and the project will be escalated to other wards.
