V ČR neustále stoupá počet dopravních nehod. Na silnicích přijde ročně o život kolem 1300 osob a další stovky osob jsou zraněny. Účast při dopravní nehodě, zranění či ztráta blízké osoby může způsobit vážné psychické a sociální problémy. Traumatická situace zasahuje rodiny a blízké obětí, kteří potřebují pomoc. Při Zdravotně sociální fakultě JU byla zřízena Poradna DoN poskytující sociální poradenství a psychoterapeutické poradenství ,včetně krizové intervence, pro občany poškozené Dopravní Nehodou.
The number of traffic accidents is constantly increasing in the Czech Republic. About 1300 persons are killed on the roads every year and other hundreds are injured. The participation at a traffic accident, the injury or the loss of a close person can cause serious psychical and social problems. The traumatic situation affects families and close relatives and friends of the victims who need help. The Advisory Centre DoN – social consulting and mediating of psychological help for citizens damaged by a traffic accident (Dopravní Nehoda) – was established at the Faculty for Health and Social Care of the University of South Bohemia.
